Thirty postmenopausal women aged 45 to 65 with mild hyperlipidemia were simply randomized to no treatment, raw cucumber at 100 to 125 g daily, or curry-leaf powder at 5 g daily. After 45 days, 10 controls, nine cucumber participants, and 10 curry-leaf participants were analyzed. Cucumber-group LDL changed by -11.9 mg/dL, while untreated control changed by +5.5 mg/dL, giving a -17.4-mg/dL difference-in-differences point estimate. The paper performed no between-group test. Change-score standard deviations and pre-post correlations were absent, so its standard error and confidence interval cannot be reconstructed. No trial-registration number or prespecified primary endpoint was reported.
