MACE-4 occurred in 819 of 6,992 versus 927 of 6,978 participants, HR 0.87; MACE-3 was HR 0.85, myocardial infarction HR 0.77, and coronary revascularization HR 0.81. Cardiovascular and all-cause mortality were nonsignificant. Earlier CLEAR Harmony randomized 2,230 patients and found an 18.1-percentage-point greater LDL-cholesterol reduction at 12 weeks, confirming biological activity but not clinical events. In CLEAR Outcomes, gout occurred in 3.1% versus 2.1% and cholelithiasis in 2.2% versus 1.2%.
