What the research actually shows
A 2014 review described relatively few well-controlled human shilajit studies. A later trial of a specific purified extract in 60 postmenopausal women with osteopenia measured bone density and oxidative and inflammatory markers, while a study in healthy middle-aged men measured testosterone and DHEAS. Neither trial used biological age, disability-free survival, healthspan, or mortality as an endpoint.
